#105 ATHEISTS WILL GO TO HELL

4-17-36 :
BOOK 4 (VOLUME OF KISHKINDHA), CHAPTER 17, VERSE 36

Raajahaa brahmahaa goghnaha
choorah praan`ivadhee rataha
naastikaH parivettaa ca
sarve niraya gaaminaha.

Context
Rama, hiding in trees, killed Vali. Vali blamed him for injustice and cruelty.

Approximate English Gist
Killers of kings, priests (Brahmins), cows, will go to hell. Thieves, those who relish killing animals will go to hell. Younger brothers who marry earlier than their elder brothers will go to hell. Atheists will go to hell.

MY OBSERVATIONS
Vali describes himself as a monkey. Valmiki also describes him as a monkey. How does this monkey-king know that atheists will go to hell? Why was Vali and Valmiki were bothered about atheists ?
Why does not Valmiki recognise that Rama would go to hell, as he was killing animals at the rate of FOUR DEER PER DAY? Was Rama "praan`i vadha rata" or not?

ADDITIONAL COMMENT
My critics say that Rama was killing deer for sport and not for food. Kings could kill for sport. Will Rama go to hell or his own abode Vaikunt`ha?
