#037 WERE ANIMALS CRAZY TO SERVE RAMA?

BOOK IV: KISHKINDHA KAND`A - "BOOK OF THE CITY KISHKINDHA"
VERSE 4-56-10

Tathaa sarvaan`i bhuutaani

CONTEXT
The demon Ravana abducted Sita. Rama and Lakshmana were searching for Sita in the forest. The eagle "Jatayu" came forward to Rama.

GIST
This is poet Valmiki's comment. "All living beings, including those which are born in the animal wombs are eager to do good to Rama, even by sacrificing their lives."

BLOGGER'S VIEWS
*Ridiculous.
*If the animals are so eager to do good to Rama and Lakshmana, why should they hunt deer and devor them four a day? The animals could kill themselves, roast themselves and serve themselves in leaf plates before the brothers.
