CONTEXT
Ravana abducted Sita. Rama and Lakshmana were searching for Sita. Out of grief, Rama requests a mountain to tell him where his Sita was.

TRANSLATION
Here the poet Valmiki compares Rama's anger to a lion's anger when it sees a puny animal. Rama says 'Show me my golden tinged and golden bodied Sita; no sooner before I destroy all your peaks and valleys.

BLOGGER'S VIEW
*Threaten a mountain if you cannot find your wife at home!
*If Rama can destroy mountain peaks and valleys, there will be no need for him to build bridges across seas with the help of monkeys. His outpouring is understandable considering his miserable plight.

BLOGGER'S VIEW
If some mountain is unable to show his lost wife (Rama's wife), will Rama reduce it to ashes, devoid of grass, plants and buds? This type of talk, an ordinary person may make. Definitely not a Purushottama, the greatest among the humans.
